Simply Good Scales - Guy Bennington
Dear Kitchen desires
I just had to write to tell you how much I love my new kitchen scales that I bought through your website recently. Who would have guessed that something so simple and, frankly, inexpensive, would be so delightful to use.
I must admit, kitchen scales were hardly something I gave much thought to-in fact, they probably never crossed my mind before. Why should they? I had some scales that had served me very well for the last 15 years-up until the day they broke. Oh well, I thought, must remember to add them to my list of things to replace-maybe pick some up next time I’m in a shop that sells that sort of stuff.
Who was I kidding? I never am in those sort of shops-too busy earning a meagre wage in some god forsaken office all week. Anyway, before I bore you completely, there I was at home in the kitchen one day, preparing a meal, and time to weigh out the ingredients - uh oh - damn it!!-no scales.
Determined not to be caught out another time, I called out to my wife, who was in the other room-‘Lin, remind me to buy some new scales when we’re out next!’. Lin, being far more practical and sensible than me, shouted back ‘why don’t you just buy some from that Kitchen Desires website?’
Stoopid! Why hadn’t I thought of that? Which brings me to the wonderful looking, Salter 043 Add & Weigh Kitchen Scale with Chrome Finish. It just has this really great swivel base that allows you to simply move the scale marker to 0 each time you add an ingredient to the bowl. I know it’s sad to be getting so excited about kitchen scales, but I really don’t think about them normally- I just had to tell you.
By the way, have I mentioned about those brilliant Typhoon Natural Dot Cotton Tea Towels with Magnetic Tabs that I also bought...
EDITOR - Thanks for that - cheques in the post....
